The main barrier in this project, between a freelancer and FreshBooks, isn't price or features. It's timing.
The ads and emails below were written to make "later" feel like a cost and a burden rather than a momentary comfort.
Many freelancers and sole entrepreneurs know their invoicing system is broken. They've been meaning to fix it. They just keep delaying it. The campaign moves a cold audience from awareness to decision, where the copy stops educating and starts converting.
The retargeting email picks up momentum, timed ahead of tax season, when the pain feels most acute — it turns curiosity into a free trial sign-up.
